BCDA'S work is guided by our community development ethos which strives to be enabling, empowering, supportive and outward looking by:
*Enabling by sharing knowledge and skills to enable people and groups to articulate their needs and to stimulate action to address them;
*Empowering by advancing the needs and solutions that people have identified for themselves, irrespective of whether the solution is being sought through self-help or statutory means;

*Outward-looking by encouraging an open and progressive outlook on life communities and cultures and endeavouring to share our approach and develop links with other organisations in Norther Ireland and elsewhere.
About us

Ballynafeigh Community Development Association, BCDA, is based in ballynafeigh Community House, a large building on the Ormeau Road facing the Ormeau Park which has its mains entrance in Candahar Street.
Ballynafeigh Community Development Association has been running for 40 years and is a multi- purpose resource centre which works to support the Ballynafeigh neighbourhood. Ballynafeigh is one of the longest surving shared neighbourhoods in Belfast comprising of people from different social, religious and ethnic backgrounds. BCDA acts as an advocate for shared communitites by working with local people, groups and neighbouring communities to overcome suspicion and sectarianism, to promote mutual understanding, cooperation and where appropriate a partnership approach to joint action on areas of common concern. Our activities inclue legal and welfare advice, social health and well-being, providing Crèche and Afterschool's clubs, Womens over sixties programme(TOWN).
